How to Convert a PDF to an Image
In short
Open the PDF to JPG tool, drop in your PDF, choose 150 dpi, and download one JPG per page. It works in your browser, so the PDF is not uploaded anywhere.
Steps
- Open the PDF to JPG tool.
- Drop in your PDF or click the box to choose it.
- Pick a resolution. 150 dpi suits most uses.
- Download single pages, or all pages as a ZIP.
What you get
Each page of the PDF becomes its own JPG file, numbered in order. A 10-page PDF gives you 10 pictures.
Other ways to do it
On a Mac, the Preview app can open a PDF and export a page as an image through File, then Export. That is fine for one page. For many pages, or if you are on a phone or a shared computer, a browser tool is quicker.
Things to know
- Text in the image is no longer selectable, because it is now a picture.
- Very long or very large PDFs can be slow on older phones. Try a few pages at a time.
- Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first.
