PNG to JPG Converter
Drop your PNG files in and get JPG files back, usually much smaller. Any transparent areas become white. Nothing is uploaded; it all runs in your browser.
Private by design: your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
How to use it
- Drop one or more PNG images into the box, or click it.
- Leave the quality at 90 percent, or lower it for smaller files.
- Download each JPG, or all of them as a ZIP.
When PNG to JPG is a good idea
JPG is made for photos and is typically several times smaller than PNG. Convert when you need a smaller file for email, a website or an upload limit.
Keep PNG for logos, icons, screenshots with sharp text and anything with transparency. JPG blurs sharp edges slightly and has no transparency.
Which quality should I pick?
- 90 to 95: very close to the original, larger files.
- 80 to 85: a good balance for most uses.
- 60 to 70: clearly smaller, with some visible loss on detailed images.
Questions
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot be transparent, so those areas are filled with white.
Does the conversion lose quality?
Yes, a little. JPG is a lossy format. At 90 percent the difference is hard to see in a photo.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion is done by your browser, on your device.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Pick several, then download them one by one or as a ZIP.
